The Rainforest Retreat sits just meters from one of Australia’s most iconic national parks, surrounded by dense sub-tropical rainforest and only a short walk to the famous points at Noosa.  This stunningly serene site provides a magnificent back drop, but don’t be lulled into a false sense of serenity, as this site offered up many challenges, challenges we were keen to be tackle.

Given it’s location, reducing the impact on the surrounding ecosystem was vital to this project. So it was absolutely essential to minimize the footprint and create a compact design that encouraged breezes, maximized natural light while still encapsulating all of the areas natural beauty.
